+1 Wings For Eggs: Does This Purchase Pay for Itself?

Use the calculator

Payback time equals the price on the card divided by the extra Cash per second the purchase adds to your own printed income. Enter those two numbers and the tool returns the seconds that purchase needs to earn back what it cost. It uses nothing else: no drop rate, no multiplier and no price list from this site is involved, which is what makes it usable even though the game publishes no formula for anything.

How the payback time is calculated

The tool divides the first number by the second: Cash price divided by extra Cash per second, which gives seconds. That is the whole calculation, and it is deliberately this small, because it is the only purchase comparison the game's own published values support without inventing a rate. A smaller result means the purchase earns its price back sooner.

Where to read each number in the game

The price comes from the upgrade card you are looking at: every card read in the recorded sessions printed a Cash figure beside a Robux figure, so the Cash figure is the one to enter. The income step comes from the farm list, where each placed Animal prints a Cash-per-second figure next to its name, or from the difference between your plot's printed income before and after the purchase. Both numbers are therefore values you read rather than values this site supplies.

Worked examples using prices that were read

A Bamboo wings card was published at $30,000, and an Epic Pig prints $95/s. $30,000 divided by $95 gives 316 seconds, a little over five minutes, before that card has paid for itself out of the income step. A Bloom wings card was published at $500,000; the same $95/s step takes 5,263 seconds, roughly an hour and a half. A Rare Bunny prints $49/s, so the $500,000 card against that step needs 10,204 seconds. The examples quote published and printed figures; the tool itself only ever uses what you type.

What the result does not claim

This is a payback time, not a return on investment. It does not model offline Cash, event bonuses, the Rebirth multiplier or the Animals you place later, and it cannot rank a purchase that has no income step at all - a card that only extends how far you can fly has no Cash per second attached to it. It also says nothing about rarity or drop rates, because none are published. Treat a long result as evidence that the purchase is for something other than income, not as evidence that it is bad.

The other purchase rows on the shop screen, and which ones this tool can judge

Two rows read in the exclusive shop are multipliers and do fit the calculation: x2 Money at 160 Robux, printed as earning double money from Animals, and x2 Egg Growth at 280 Robux, printed as hatching eggs in half the time. For those the second number to type is not a doubling of your current income but the difference your own plot prints after the purchase, because that figure already includes everything else in play. The other readable rows change what you own rather than what you earn per second, so a payback time does not apply to them: a Starter Pack at 9 Robux holding a Robo Dog and $5,000, a +$1,000,000 pack, a VIP row printing +25% money and a tag, three mystery eggs marked SECRETO at 200, EXCLUSIVO at 320 and ETERNO at 640 Robux, and a Rainbow pack at 200 Robux that returned a Rainbow Night Spider, a Cursed T-Rex and a Dark King Dragon. Only the Diamond Egg packs carried odds beside them, and those are printed on the egg list. Prices and limited-time rows move, so read the shop screen in your own session before buying.

Seconds the purchase needs to earn back its price: 316 s

How this calculation works

Divides the price printed on the upgrade card by the extra Cash per second the purchase adds to your own printed income. Both numbers are read in your session, so the result makes no claim about a rate the game does not publish.

The result is a whole number of s.

Examples

Example 1

Price printed on the card 30000 · Extra Cash per second the purchase adds 95 → 316 s

Example 2

Price printed on the card 500000 · Extra Cash per second the purchase adds 95 → 5263 s

Example 3

Price printed on the card 500000 · Extra Cash per second the purchase adds 49 → 10204 s

Related questions

What numbers do I need for the payback calculator?

Two: the Cash price printed on the upgrade card you are looking at, and the extra Cash per second the purchase adds to your own printed income. Nothing else is used.

Does the calculator use this site's prices?

No. The examples on this page quote prices that were read from cards or published lists, but the result comes only from the two numbers you type in.

Why can the calculator not tell me the best upgrade?

An upgrade that only extends flight distance has no income step, so a single division cannot rank it against an income purchase. The tool answers the payback question and says so in its limits.

Where does the extra Cash per second figure come from?

The figure printed next to a placed Animal on your farm, or the difference in your plot's printed income before and after the purchase. The Animal income page lists the values that have been read so far.
